Employee Spotlight: Carrie Gross

Our Office Manager Carrie Gross plays a pivotal role in the success of United Foodservice Solutions. She handles all the accounts receivable and payable, does all the invoices, handles the banking, files and orders equipment and much more! Today we are shining the spotlight on Carrie.

How has United Foodservice Solutions changed since you first started?

“We have grown a lot since I started here a number of years ago, especially the service side. We used to contract out our service but now, for the last few years, we have our own in-house service department. This helps us greatly with the quality of work we can provide and the time frame in which we can get to our customers. We also have two certified Master Techs, the only two in the world!”

What do you like most about your job? 

“Everyone here is like family. We all work together very well and still have fun doing it. We pride ourselves with great customer service and going above and beyond for our customers.”

What advice do you have for prospective candidates?

“United Foodservice Solutions is really more than just a job. We are a small group who are very close and consider each other more like family. If you put effort into doing your job, this definitely will be a great long lasting career. There are many benefits to working so closely with each other and in a small group. It’s a great place to work for sure!”

What are your hopes for the industry? 

“It’s been difficult with shortages over the last couple years in our industry but I hope that will continue to improve and we can provide our customers with all their equipment and parts needs as we always have strived to.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? 

“I enjoy spending time with my husband, we love to spend time outdoors and shop at antique stores. We also stay busy with our 4 1/2 month old great dane puppy. He has way too much energy! He’s the 4th great dane we’ve had. My husband is a hobby woodworker so we often do projects. I also really enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephew.”
