UFS recently had the pleasure of assisting The Wagon Wheel American Grill, a cherished establishment in Portland, with a significant kitchen upgrade. As Sales Representative Jimmy Lyons noted, “It was a big day today for us, as we completed the installation of a brand new XLT Conveyor Pizza Oven.”
This project was truly a team effort. Jimmy highlighted, “Not only did we install the brand new double-stack conveyor oven, we removed the existing oven. It was out with the old and in with the new!”
The Wagon Wheel American Grill has been a staple in the Portland community, now entering its third generation of ownership. Jimmy shared, “Chopper, along with his wife, have been here 27 years. Before this, Chopper’s father owned it for 25. Chopper’s daughter Madison and her husband Joe are ready to take the reins once Chopper retires.”
The benefits of the new oven were immediately evident. During testing, “Joe was able to cut his pizza and breadstick bake time by over two minutes, from 7 minutes to 4 minutes 50 seconds in the XLT,” Jimmy reported. Additionally, “the XLT baking chamber is 15 inches shorter than the previous oven. Not only is the XLT more efficient, but it saves a ton of space for their crew!”
