The food and beverage industry is rapidly changing, and we are excited to be a part of it! We had the opportunity to attend the wholesale grocery distributor and retailer, SpartanNash’s 2023 Expo, and we are excited to share our top 3 takeaways.
1. First impressions are important
Your patron’s experience with your business begins far before they taste your food. First impressions are the easiest to recall. The 2023 SpartanNash Expo team took this very seriously.
“There is definitely a sense of ‘family’ at the show,” Sales Manager Robert Jurhs said. “The show is set up to be welcoming and worth the trip for the members; many of whom traveled from great distances. The team effort is apparent. They coordinated such a large show, and still made room for breakouts, and a special dinner, and activities evening; going the extra mile.”
2. Networking develops long-lasting relationships
Connecting with food and beverage professionals is always valuable to us. Learning about the opportunities, and obstacles others experience helps us better understand and serve our partners.
“There were a lot of people to meet for the first time, as well as old friends,” Jurhs said. “This is a great opportunity to make connections!”
3. The food and beverage industry is ever-changing
Technology advancements, and consumer preferences are evolving quickly. Many in our industry are pivoting and enhancing operations to meet the demands of those that they serve. We had the chance to learn from some of the best at the SpartanNash Expo.
“There are more and more new and innovative vendors every year,” Jurhs said.
We had a wonderful time at the SpartanNash Food Expo! Thank you to everyone who stopped by booth 471!
